Comments about the Works
Spring Impressions is a three-movement piece. Movement I (Allegro) has a motoric character, shaped by continuous dynamic variability. Movement II (Andante) is based on a melody in a low register with a significant share of a tritone, with which a plan of repeated or chromatically shifted chords interacts. Movement III (Allegretto), with a consistently performed melody in the interval of a major third, proceeds in developing chromatic-progressive patterns.
