The pieces pose high interpretation requirements for children due to the extensive agogic and dynamic layer. They were probably intended as a set to be performed not necessarily by children but for children.
I. Canon ca 1’10” (Three-voice polyphonic construction ending with an extended tonic chord. It is not a strict canon, but rather an invention. A uniform quaver progression and heterogeneous tempo are characteristic here).
II. Memories of Greece ca 3’40” (Narration based on a theme from the music to the film Zorba the Greek).
III. Dream ca 1’30” (Balance of ascending and descending motifs, dynamic and agogic nuances, thoughtfulness; there appears a term chiaro – bright).
IV. In the Wood ca 2’30” (Lasek [the Wood] is a small park in Czechowice. The agogic term Adagio da lontano emphasises the sleepy and reflective nature of the work).
V. Joy-stick ca 2’ (Scherzo preceded by a slow introduction and ending with a cheerful Maestoso, based mainly on second-thirds structures).
The title of the work in an acronym of the names of the composer’s family: G (żona, Grażyna), A (Andrzej), K (Krzanowski), K (syn, Kamil), A (córka, Aleksandra), J (córka, Jagna).
