Adagio is a short miniature with a harmonic narrative. Its composition consists of a sequence of a few dynamic waves while preserving the chorale progression of chords in the tonality of E-flat major / E-flat minor. In the final episode, the issue of this tonality is explained by the scale in the bass voice.
